Creating a Family
Chi Upsilon Sigma is a family like no other. Like family, we all have our own lifestyles, beliefs, political opinions
and goals. However, like family, we always support each other in all that we do. We are sisters, and our dedication to this
sisterhood is what drives us each to do anything in our power to make sure that our fellow sisters succeed in life. Here at
Alpha Pi Colony, we honor this bond. We respect eachother as unique individuals, and pull together to achieve great things
for our community here at New Paltz and beyond.
Following our Predecessors
Our mission as a Colony is to further promote the goals of our organization.
As an organization, we strive to:
-Create
a network, a family on which our sisters can depend
-Promote political, educational, cultural and social awareness amongst
all people
-Serve our communities through hard work and dedication to volunteerism

"We, the members of Chi Upsilon Sigma Latin Sorority Icorporated, aware of the prejudices and obstacles facing the minority
women of our communities, dedicated ourselves to improving these conditions and to working towards the betterment of all women.
We have unified ourselves through the sisterhood of Corazones Unidos Siempre and through our founders' ideals of open communication
and community service, as well as the development of political, educational, cultural and social awareness. We devote ourselves
to this challenge, to be achieved through hard work, open communication and community service and the collective effort to
educate, as is exemplified in our motto, 'Wisdom through Education'."
